An important political process – a national referendum on the draft Constitutional Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan” is taking place in the country today.

Voting started at 8:00 AM today in 1111 referendum precincts in the 7th Samarkand district.

The total number of voters in the district is 2,081,436. 65,000 of them are young people participating in this political process for the first time.

Hokim of Samarkand region E.Turdimov voted among the first at the referendum precinct No.144 located in the 42nd general secondary school in Samarkand city.

According to the Chairman of the precinct commission Umid Akhadov, 2944 citizens living in Bagdad, Orzu, Rakhmatabad mahallas will vote in the precinct.
