A delegation led by the Chair of the Committee on Culture of the Milli Mejlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ganira Pashayeva, arrived in Uzbekistan.

At the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Ganira Pashayeva met with Deputy Speaker A. Kadirov. During the dialogue, the guest was informed about the essence and significance of the socio-political reforms carried out in Uzbekistan, and the role of parliament in their implementation.

At the meeting, the parties agreed on further developing interaction and the organization of regular meetings of inter-parliamentary groups.

The delegation led by Ganira Pashayeva also visited the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev, in Tashkent. The opening of the bust of the Honored Artist of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, head of the dance ensemble “Azerbaijani Girls” Kovkeb Aliyeva took place here. The participants honored the memory of the famous artist. By order of the Director of the center, Samir Abbasov, the dance ensemble was named after Kovkeb Aliyeva.
