As part of the Action Strategy to improve the effectiveness of reforms in Uzbekistan’s healthcare sector, the amount of funds allocated from the budget to the healthcare sector in 2017-2021 increased from 7.3 trillion UZS to 24.7 trillion UZS.

Funds allocated to cover the cost of providing medicines and medical supplies increased from 0.4 trillion UZS to 1.8 trillion UZS.
