During the visit of Uzbekistan’s President to France, an agreement was signed between the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan and the Ministry for Foreign Trade, Economic Attractiveness and French Nationals Abroad of France on the Tashkent Tram System project.

The tram system in Tashkent will be designed by an experienced French transport company. Three routes are currently planned. First of all, design work will begin on the tram line to the New Uzbekistan Park.
