At a meeting of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Ties, Foreign Investments and Tourism, priority tasks outlined in the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy to develop international relations, expand foreign economic ties, increase investment attractiveness, and promote tourism were discussed.

The Strategy places special emphasis on strengthening the country’s international image, attracting foreign investment, increasing export potential, and developing tourism. Plans include improving the Foreign Policy Concept and expanding good-neighborly relations. Efforts will be intensified to strengthen interethnic harmony, support compatriots abroad, diversify the geography of national exports, and enhance cooperation with international financial institutions.

Measures to promote the country’s tourism potential in the international arena, modernize tourism infrastructure, and improve service quality were also discussed at the meeting.

The senators emphasized the need to strengthen parliamentary oversight over the timely and high-quality implementation of tasks, as well as to enhance cooperation between government bodies and civil society institutions.
