Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov has held talks with the Ambassador of Iran Hamid Nayyerabadi.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties exchanged views on the schedule of planned contacts at the bilateral level and within the framework of regional organizations.

The closeness of the positions of Uzbekistan and Iran on the Afghan issue was stated.

The readiness of the parties to promote joint projects in trade and economic direction was confirmed.

The main attention at the meeting was paid to enhancing collaboration in transport, including through the development of new international transport corridors, taking into account the interests of the two countries.
