Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov has received the Ambassador of Tajikistan Abdujabbor Rahmonzoda.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties noted with satisfaction the progressive expansion of friendship and good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance between the two fraternal countries.

Views were exchanged on the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level. The readiness of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to continue an active political dialogue in a bilateral format and to provide mutual support within the framework of international institutions was emphasized.

Proposals were discussed to build up trade and economic cooperation, increase the volume of mutual trade and accelerate the implementation of joint projects in various industries.

The commitment of the parties to the intensification of interregional contacts, as well as ties in culture, science, health and education were noted.
