The folk ensemble Shosh Navolari successfully performed in Paris

International Folklore Contest-Festival of Dance and Music LES ETOILES DE PARIS 2018 (Stars of Paris) took place in Paris. Young talents from "Shosh Navolari” ensemble were recognized as the best in the "Folklore" nomination, having shared the first place with musicians from Turkey, the Press Service of the Culture and Arts Development Foundation under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.

International Folklore Contest-Festival of Dance and Music LES ETOILES DE PARIS 2018 (Stars of Paris) took place in Paris. Young talents from "Shosh Navolari” ensemble were recognized as the best in the "Folklore" nomination, having shared the first place with musicians from Turkey, the Press Service of the Culture and Arts Development Foundation under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.

The organizers of the festival were the European Association of Folklore Festivals and the International Association of Folklore Festivals.

The main purpose of the festival was to find new talented artists, demonstrate their skills and traditions to public, create friendly atmosphere, enrich multinational culture by respecting traditions of people of the world, popularize children's and youth creativity, improve the professional skills and qualifications of teachers and art directors.

Representatives from more than 70 countries attended the festival. Participation of the song and dance ensemble "Shosh Navolari" was organized with the assistance of the Foundation for Development of Culture and Arts under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Performers of the ensemble Khamroz Dehkonov, Dilshod Yunusov, Shahboz Asrorov and Zabihullo Tulkinov presented Uzbek folk songs "Hay yor-yor", "Kiz bola", "Kurulay", "Lola Gulim" and won the first place in the festival.

Young talents from Uzbekistan were recognized as the best in the nomination "Folklore" and awarded with diplomas, UNESCO medals, as well as valuable prizes.

The first place was also taken by the collective from Turkey. The second place was shared by ensembles from Russia and Ukraine. Participants of the festival were awarded with diplomas, festival medals and trophy cups about participation.

Winners of the festival took part in the gala concert, which was organized following the results of the festival.
