The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with the UN Under-Secretary-General, Executive Director of the Office for Project Services Jorge Moreira da Silva, in New York.

“Fruitful meeting with the UN Under-Secretary-General, the UNOPS Executive Director H.E. Jorge Moreira da Silva, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram channel. – Exchanged views on intensifying cooperation by implementing joint projects in education, healthcare, and ecology. We signed the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the United Nations on the Establishment of the UNOPS Office in Tashkent – the first in Central Asia. We believe that the representative office will serve to further enrich our ties, especially in implementing the Uzbekistan-2030 Strategy and SDGs”.
