The first meeting of the Public Council for Development of Information Technologies and Communications, which was established on May 4, 2018 under the Ministry, was held under the chairmanship of the Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Azim Akhmedkhadjayev.

The first meeting of the Public Council for Development of Information Technologies and Communications, which was established on May 4, 2018 under the Ministry, was held under the chairmanship of the Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Azim Akhmedkhadjayev.

The Public Council includes 21 people from various fields related to the activities of mobile operators, payment systems, and software products. ICT consultants are also among the members of the Council.

As reported by the Press Service of the Ministry, according to the agenda, participants of the meeting elected the chairman of the council – an entrepreneur, founder of Paynet and lebazar.uz B.Arifdjanov. SAP Development Director in Uzbekistan L.Adkhamova was elected Deputy Chairman of the Council.

Head of the Main Department for Development of Digital Economy of the Ministry S.Mirakhmedov was elected the responsible secretary of the Public Council.

During the first meeting of the Council, members considered the draft Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures of cardinal improvement of electronic commerce”. Preliminary version of the draft and the Program of measures on development of electronic commerce for 2018-2020 was presented for consideration and introduction of proposals of members of the Public Council.
