A delegation led by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Pulat Bobojonov, visited the People’s Republic of China.
The delegation attended the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum on “Successful Partnership in a Changing Environment: Building a Global Community of Public Security”, organized by the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China in Lianyungang.
About four hundred experts from more than fifty countries and representatives of the UN, SCO, Interpol, and other international organizations attended the forum.
The event participants discussed current problems in global public security and ways to solve them, as well as further expansion of multifaceted cooperation in the region, including developing communications between specialists in the sphere and promoting joint programs. Projects related to security and measures against modern threats and risks were also considered.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Pulat Bobojonov, also participated in the first meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs and Public Security in the “Central Asia – China” format. Along with Uzbekistan, the Ministers of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, and a delegation led by the Minister of Public Security of China, took part in it.
At the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the fight against crime and support for cooperation in public security, creating an interdepartmental and intersectoral coordination mechanism in law enforcement, exchanging experience, strengthening unity and solidarity in the region, and expanding multilateral partnerships.
Following the event, a protocol for the “Central Asia – China” meeting was signed, including promising areas for developing cooperation between the parties.

Along with this, a bilateral meeting was held between the Minister of Internal Affairs, Lieutenant General Pulat Bobojonov, and a member of the State Council of China – Minister of Public Security, Police General Wang Xiaohong.
Implementing the program of interaction between the two ministries for 2024-2025, signed in April this year in Tashkent, was considered, as well as the aspects of strengthening cooperation in the fight against terrorism and extremism, drug trafficking, and other types of transnational crimes, and conducting special training courses for employees of internal affairs agencies in combating cybercrime and digital forensics.
