The first winners of the XXXI Summer World University Games in judo, wushu, and tennis are being determined.

In particular, the names of the first medalists of the Universiade Judo competitions became known.

It is gratifying that there is an athlete from Uzbekistan among them.

Uzbekistan’s Kamoliddin Bakhtiyorov, who participated in the competition in the 60 kg weight category, successfully passed the qualifying stage. He defeated Chinese Taipei and Mongolian representatives in the quarterfinals and semifinals and was awarded a bronze medal.

More than 5,100 athletes from 119 countries are competing for 269 medals at the Universiade Games.
