The people of Uzbekistan feel with all their hearts the grief and hardships that have befallen the civilian population of Palestine, said the spouse of the President of Uzbekistan, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, at the Istanbul Summit.

The First Lady again voiced the firm position of Uzbekistan, calling on the parties for an immediate ceasefire and hostilities, to create conditions for the delivery of humanitarian aid to people in a hopeless situation, and to resolve the conflict only through peaceful, diplomatic means, based on the principle of “two states for two peoples”.

Uzbekistan’s solidarity with the people of Palestine and strong support for their right to create their independent state by UN resolutions were expressed.

Following the summit, a Declaration of Goodwill was adopted at the meeting of the spouses of the heads of state and government for the Gaza Strip.
