As previously reported, a delegation from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development led by Managing Director of the Sustainable Infrastructure Group Nandita Parshad and Managing Director for Central Asia Zsuzsanna Hargitai visited Uzbekistan.

According to the Ministry of Energy, during the visit of the EBRD delegation to Uzbekistan, a document was signed on the allocation of the first corporate loan in the history of the Republic of Uzbekistan without a state guarantee for the implementation of an energy project. A mandate letter for the loan was signed between the EBRD and the National Electricity Networks of Uzbekistan JSC, supervised by the Ministry of Energy.

According to it, financing will be allocated for the implementation of an investment project for the construction of a 500 kV high-voltage power transmission line Sarimay – Jankeldi.
