The First Day of 2022 Judo Grand Prix Almada
The first day of the 2022 Judo Grand Prix Tournament with a prize fund of $100 thousand has ended in Portugal’s Almada.
Over 300 judokas from 41 countries, including 11 athletes from Uzbekistan, are competing for medals and ranking points at the first championship of the year.
The first day of the international tournament was unsuccessful for Uzbekistan’s athletes. Bakhrom Baturov lost to Azerbaijan’s Balabay Aghayev, Mirzokhid Mahammadjonov to South Korea’s Harim Lee, Mukhriddin Tilovov to Yamato Fukuda from Japan, Halimajon Qurbonova to Catarina Costa from Portugal, and Gulnur Muratbayeva to Lee Hyekyeong from South Korea.
6 judokas from Uzbekistan will continue to fight for victory.
