The ceremony of presenting the credentials of the First Ambassador of Uzbekistan to this country, with residence in Berlin, Dilshod Akhatov, took place in the Principality of Liechtenstein. The documents were handed over to Liechtenstein’s Hereditary Prince Alois.
The Hereditary Prince warmly welcomed the Uzbek diplomat, expressing support for the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan and efforts to develop mutually beneficial relations between the two states. He emphasized the historical significance of the appointment of the First Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Liechtenstein and confirmed Vaduz’s desire to strengthen ties with Tashkent.
During the meeting, it was noted that the diplomatic relations established in March 2024 create a solid foundation for the systematic and consistent development of cooperation. Following the conversation, Prince Alois conveyed to the President of Uzbekistan his sincere greetings and wishes for peace and prosperity to the people of Uzbekistan.
During the visit, the Uzbekistan delegation also held talks with Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Environment and Culture of Liechtenstein Sabine Monauni. The parties discussed current issues of cooperation and exchanged views on the prospects for bilateral cooperation.
Sabine Monauni highly appreciated Uzbekistan’s peaceful, open, and pragmatic foreign policy, stressing the significant potential for expanding partnership in various fields.
