Baku hosted an international conference on “Constitution and the rule of law in contemporary legal systems” on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the declaration of the Year of Constitution and Sovereignty in the country.
Representatives of international organizations, ombudsmen, representatives of constitutional courts, scientists, and researchers attended the conference, organized on the initiative of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan.

Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Feruza Eshmatova delivered a report on Uzbekistan’s experience in ensuring human rights and strengthening the rule of law at the session “Constitutional Values and Human Rights: Global Trends and Challenges”. She spoke in detail about the constitutional reform in Uzbekistan and its practical results. The report aroused great interest among participants and served as another confirmation that the international community highly values Uzbekistan’s experience.
