An exhibition dedicated to arts and crafts and the national costume of Uzbekistan has completed its work in Paris.

The exposition “The Road to Samarkand. Wonders of Silk and Gold” was opened at the end of November 2022 at the Arab World Institute. For the first time, the European public got acquainted with the objects of decorative and applied art of Uzbekistan: a collection of textiles, clothing and footwear, headwear, and jewelry. More than 300 exhibits from the collections of 9 domestic museums were presented at the stands.

The project was a great success among art lovers. More than 185,000 people have visited the exposition since its opening. The exhibition “The Road to Samarkand. Wonders of Silk and Gold” was organized by the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan.
