Deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis are visiting their constituencies to discuss proposals for introducing amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, ensuring active participation of the population in the referendum and studying people’s opinions.

The meeting in Turtkul District Hokimiyat was attended by heads of sectors, deputy hokims, deputies of Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and district councils, chairmen of citizens’ assemblies, assistants of hokims, youth leaders and activists.

Deputy of the lower house of Parliament R. Mamutov explained the essence of the draft Constitutional Law “On introducing amendments and addenda to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan”. At the same time, several proposals for improving the Basic Law were considered.

A video was presented about the importance of introducing amendments and additions to the Constitution of Uzbekistan.

A roundtable discussion on this theme was also held in Shumanay District Hokimiyat. Deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan M. Ibragimov provided detailed information on the amendments and additions to the Basic Law, their essence and content.
