The Embassy of Uzbekistan receives an award from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Emirates News Agency – WAM published an article about awarding a group of international cooperation activists by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The author noted that 18 foreign missions accredited in Abu Dhabi and 9 departments of the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs were awarded in the main categories for achieving special results in promising areas, and seven ministry employees were awarded medals.

Among those who received such special recognition is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United Arab Emirates Abdulaziz Akkulov. 

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized that trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE is consistently developing and drew special attention to the importance of the activities of the two countries’ foreign ministries and diplomatic missions in this process.

As part of the event, 9 out of 142 embassies, the embassies of Uzbekistan and India from the Asia-Pacific region, and 4 consulates general out of 85 consulates in Dubai were awarded the Excellence in International Cooperation Award. 

The Minister congratulated the winners and praised their innovative initiatives, creative ideas, and dedication.

Established in 2014, the Excellence in International Cooperation Award, which honors embassies and diplomats who make worthy contributions to strengthening diplomatic relations, is part of the Government Excellence Award, which is presented at the initiative of the Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
