An extraordinary plenum of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan was held.
Members of the Central Council of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, chairmen of regional, district (city), and primary party organizations, activists, and media representatives attended the event.
In accordance with the agenda of the meeting, the issue of the party’s participation in these elections was discussed in connection with the Central Election Commission’s announcement of the start of the election campaign for elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and regional, district, and city Councils of People’s Deputies.
The leader of the party, Abdushukur Khamzayev, noted that this year, the elections are being held based on an entirely new mixed system, and this process requires special activity from political parties.
The meeting unanimously decided on the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan’s participation in the elections. In accordance with the Electoral Code, the application to the Central Election Commission on the party’s participation in the election campaign for the elections to the lower house of parliament and the Councils of People’s Deputies this year has been approved.
Now, the party will begin collecting signatures from at least forty thousand voters supporting its participation in the elections. The Central Council will also create election headquarters at the central, regional, and district (city) party organizations.
At the plenum, held in a hybrid format, the tasks facing all structures for holding conferences of regional, district, and city party organizations and a high-level party forum were defined.
