The International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan hosted an International Scientific and Practical Conference on “The contribution of Eastern scientists to Islamic civilization”.
In recent years, the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, the International Research Centers named after Imam Bukhari, Imam Termezi, Imam Moturidi, created on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, demonstrate the spiritual and enlightenment perfection of our people, who have entered a new stage of development.
“The culture of peoples of Central Asia has an ancient and rich history. This is evidenced by the Sogdian, Bactrian, Orkhon and Khorezm scripts invented BC”, Muzaffar Komilov, Rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan noted in his greeting to the conference participants. “From the II century to AD to the XV century AD the Great Silk Road passed through several cities of Central Asia, opening the way for the development of trade, science and culture in this country. The atmosphere of peace and friendly dialogue between civilizations also created the conditions for the formation and development of the first statehood”.
The international conference continued with breakout sessions on the research of Islamic sciences in the heritage of Eastern scientists, the development of social, natural and exact sciences in Mawarannahr, the influence of Muslim scientists on the development of world science and the contribution of Muslim scientists to world civilization.
