The Uzbekneftegaz JSC opened the country’s first Drilling Control Center.
During a recent press tour, Uzbekneftegaz JSC's leadership showcased the Drilling Control Center and its transformative impact on the industry. The implementation of this centralized organizational and digital management system is projected to reduce drilling well duration by an impressive 45% and construction costs by 35%. This translates to substantial savings of 4 billion to 10 billion UZS per well, a significant boon for the industry and the economy.
The head of the Drilling Coordination Department of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, Elyor Mamatov, noted that one of the center’s main tasks is monitoring drilling processes in real-time.
“Thanks to the digitalization of drilling operations, modern technologies and remote monitoring systems, the Center’s specialists will be able to identify and prevent possible accidents and incidents quickly”, says Mr. Mamatov. “Data on the main parameters of drilling modes will be transmitted from each installation to the company’s server at the head office in real-time and then displayed on the screen. The center monitors the drilling process of 23 rigs around the clock at the Dengizkul, Zevarda, Yangi Tegirmon, Shurtan, Lower Eastern Berdak, and Lower Surgil fields, located in remote areas of Uzbekistan”.
Specialists analyze data received from drilling sites, monitor the well drilling process online, and develop recommendations to improve the efficiency and safety of the well construction process.
One of the tasks is also training, retraining, and advanced training personnel.
