Navoi Regional Council of the Federation of Uzbekistan Trade Unions organized a roundtable discussion “Public discussion of the Constitutional draft law “On introducing amendments and addenda to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

The event was attended by employees of the Council, chairmen of branch trade unions, trade unions of large primary organizations and trade union activists.

Information was provided on the received proposals for introducing amendments to the Constitution. Most often, it is proposed to make changes to the third and fifth sections – 5,717 and 6,302 proposals, respectively. There are many proposals for introducing amendments to chapters 7, 10, and 21.  The draft law introduces more than 200 amendments to 64 articles of the Constitution, as well as 16 new norms with 6 new articles.

Each working group needs to organize events for “Public discussion of the constitutional draft law “On introducing amendments and addenda to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, study the necessary proposals and develop initiatives.
