Tashkent hosted an International Scientific and Practical Conference on “The development of diasporas in Central Asia – an important factor in sustainable development”.
The forum was organized by the National University of Uzbekistan, the International Institute for Central Asia and the Committee for Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by over 100 representatives of scientific, academic and analytical institutions of Central Asian countries, Azerbaijan, Germany, Poland and Russia. In particular, the Representative Offices of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Uzbekistan, the Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Scientific Center for Strategic Studies of the IMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, the Institute of Asian Countries and Africa of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russian State University for the Humanities.
At the event, scientific and academic reports were heard, practical measures were outlined, and appropriate recommendations were developed to further strengthen cooperation and develop diasporology in the Central Asian region.
