CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev named the Delphic Games in his greeting as one of the large-scale youth projects in the Commonwealth, which promotes the development of cultural dialogue between countries.

At the CIS headquarters in the Belarusian capital, they recalled that the Seventeenth Youth Games from October 6 to 10 are being held in Bishkek, a city famous for its rich history, cultural monuments, and natural attractions.

“Hardworking people live here, whose hospitality, without a doubt, will help young talents find new friends and preserve the warmest memories of their stay on Kyrgyz soil”, Mr. Lebedev emphasized in his message.

By the way, about 600 young people representing Commonwealth countries aged from 10 to 25 are participating in creative competitions in ten nominations, as stated in the greeting, including piano, violin, fine arts, academic singing, solo folk singing, pop singing, folk dance, folk instruments, wind instruments, artistic crafts.

The message draws particular attention to the fact that this year, “the content of creative competitions corresponds to the theme of the Year of the Russian Language as a Language of Interethnic Communication, announced by the decision of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS”.
