It was attended by Commander of the Eastern Military District, Colonel Lutfullo Buzrukov, representatives of the regional khokimiyat, participants of the Second World War, Armed Forces veterans, military personnel and regional youth.
It should be noted that on the eve of the holiday Colonel Lutfullo Buzrukov met with the Second World War participants and congratulated them on the 74th anniversary of the Victory over Fascism, presented gifts on behalf of the President and the District Command.
Participants were impressed by installations and performances of the war years performed by youth, which were demonstrated to the population during celebrations.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan, representatives of the District Command and the general public visited Sergeant Dilshod Asanov’s family, who died in line of duty, fell in heroic battle in 2000 against terrorists in Sariasiya mountains of Surkhandarya region.
