Today, a delegation of the Czech Republic led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Lipavský visited the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED).

The Czech Foreign Minister and the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, UWED Rector Sodyq Safoev, addressed the university’s students. The event brought together professors, expert analysts from the Institute of Advanced International Studies at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, and media representatives.

The meeting participants discussed a wide range of issues, including large-scale economic and social reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan and current topics related to energy, transport, economics, and other areas. Particular attention was paid to the strategic aspects of relations between Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic, new trends in regional development in Central Asia, and tasks of regional and global significance.

The meeting contributed to an active exchange of opinions and strengthened mutual understanding between the younger generation and this country’s diplomacy representatives.
