At the Second Bakhshi International Art Festival in Nukus, representatives of Samarkand region are also demonstrating the art and culture of their region.

Famous bakhshis from Kushrabat, Nurabad and Bulungur districts of the region – Abdualim Bekmurodov, Shavkat Bobomurodov, Sayim Ergashev are taking part in this festival.

“We are demonstrating the ancient culture, applied arts, unique traditions and values ​​of Samarkand”, says the Head of the Department of Culture of Samarkand region H. Muhammadiyev. – Samples of applied art, the famous Samarkand bread is exhibited near the reconstructed model of Tillaqori madrasah. Theatrical collectives of our region are demonstrating small stage performances. I am sure that the performances of the maqom ensemble, folk groups “Chavki” and “Beshqarsak” will not leave indifferent the participants of the festival.
