Tashkent hosted the Extraordinary IV Congress of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan.

The participants discussed the issues of nominating a candidate for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the Ecological Party in the upcoming presidential elections, which will be held on July 9, as well as the election program of the presidential candidate and other issues.

The Central Election Commission admitted the party to participate in the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. At the plenum of the Central Council of the party, held on May 11 this year, a proposal was considered to nominate the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Central Council of the party Khamzayev Abdushukur Khudoyqulovich as a candidate for President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan.

At the congress, Abdushukur Khamzayev was nominated as a candidate for the President of Uzbekistan from the Ecological Party.

The candidate for President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Khamzayev Abdushukur Khudoyqulovich presented the main directions of his election program.

The program consists of several vital initiatives to reform the country’s economy. Particular attention is paid to the development of the “Green Uzbekistan-2030” program aimed at refusing to use pesticides, the introduction of the “Green Visa” program, the development of an index for assessing the transition to a green economy, and the organization of freight transportation by rail.

The candidate’s program also includes such important initiatives as the development of public dental clinics, the creation of at least 30 percent of green areas in the preparation of master plans for cities, general control in urban planning, the introduction of an environmental impact assessment system when adopting regulatory documents, the phase-out of the use of disposable plastic tableware and plastic bags, a ban on the import of electronic cigarettes into the country, from 2030 a ban on the sale of cars with internal combustion engines in the country and their import from abroad.

The delegates discussed in detail the candidacy of Khamzayev Abdushukur Khudoyqulovich for the post of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan and his election program. The active participation of Abdushukur Khamzayev in the political and socio-economic life of the country for many years, his scientific research, and his inventions as a scientist were highly appreciated.

The candidacy of Khamzayev Abdushukur Khudoyqulovich for the post of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the upcoming elections and his election program were unanimously approved by the delegates. Several tasks were set before the Central Council of the party, regional party organizations, and activists to ensure the organized conduction of the election campaign.
