Namangan Regional Hokimiyat hosted an official meeting with representatives of the delegation led by Mr. Hiroki Sakai, head of the International Affairs Department of Gifu Prefecture of Japan.

The parties discussed issues of mutual cooperation in industry, culture, tourism, education, and information technology. Deputy Hokim Botir Nuriddinov provided detailed information about Namangan region and touched upon the similarities between the two regions.

In turn, the Deputy Governor of Gifu Prefecture, Mr. Hiroki Sakai, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and noted that the partnership between the two regions has developed rapidly in recent years. This significantly contributes to developing friendly relations between the two countries.

At the meeting, issues of cooperation between the cities of Seki and Chust were discussed, as well as the implementation of joint projects with the Akhsikent Archaeological Park and the Gifu Center for Culture and Archeology.

The Japanese delegation visited Chust district.

To establish cooperation between the city of Seki, Gifu Prefecture, which specializes in knife production, and Chust district, the guests got acquainted with the activities of individual entrepreneurs.
