Tashkent hosts the 11th meeting of the Coordinative Plant Quarantine Council (CPQC) of the CIS Member States.
It is attended by representatives of the Secretariat of the Council, the FAO, the Eurasian Economic Commission, authorized representatives in phytosanitary of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Russia.
The agenda of the two-day meeting includes issues of enhancing the scope of relations within the CIS, creating favorable conditions for the joint protection of plants from pests in the process of implementing economic and trade relations, and harmonizing policies on quarantine and phytosanitary requirements.
The issue of simplifying the procedure for transporting agricultural products through integration into the data exchange system used by national departments in the process of phytosanitary control will also be considered.
