A delegation of the Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by Chairman Sherzod Kudbiyev is on a working visit to the United States.

A meeting was held in Washington with the International Monetary Fund representatives as part of the visit.

Foreign experts highly praised the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan. They emphasized the importance of the steps taken to improve tax administration and increase the transparency of the tax system.

The leadership of the Tax Committee expressed gratitude to the IMF for the recently published report on the results of the visit to Uzbekistan and the recommendations provided.

During the dialogue, IMF specialists highlighted several key aspects of improving tax administration and reducing the shadow economy’s share.
