A meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held. It considered the results of the Early Presidential Election in Uzbekistan, held on July 9, 2023.
As noted at the meeting, the election was held at a decent level with the active participation of voters. More than 15.6 million citizens included in the voter list, or 79.88 percent, freely expressed their will and voted for the candidate they considered worthy.
At the meeting, a protocol was drawn up on the results of the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held on July 9, 2023, and a resolution was adopted to approve their results. In particular, a resolution was adopted on the election of Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev to the post of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with 87.05 percent of the votes of voters who took part in the elections.
The protocol also reflects that 4.43 percent of voters voted for the candidate from the Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Adolat” Robakhon Anvarovna Makhmudova, 4.02 percent of the votes cast for the candidate from the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Ulugbek Ilyasovich Inoyatov, 3.74 percent of those who voted supported the candidate from the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan Abdushukur Khudoykulovich Khamzyaev.
In addition, the issue related to the appeals received by the Central Election Commission during the preparation and holding of early elections for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was considered, and an appropriate decision was made.
