Increasing demand for electricity requires an upgrade in the system.

According to the Ministry of Energy, as a result of the modernization, the capacity of six main substations has been increased by 591 megavolt-amperes.

“The high-voltage substations capacity in Surkhandarya, Samarkand and Jizzakh regions and Tashkent has been increased”, says Obidjon Dilmuradov, Chief Specialist of the Ministry’s Press Service. – By the end of the year, the capacity will increase at five more substations.

The capacity of all 11 substations will be increased by 1,616 megavolt-amperes.
