On August 14-18, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education will organize the republican stage of “The Best School for Teaching Foreign Languages” contest for the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
It involves 14 schools and 70 students from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 12 regions, and Tashkent city.
It is planned to test the skills of listening, writing, speaking, and reading of the participants using the international test “Linguaskill”, owned by the UK’s Cambridge Assessment English.
Test tasks for all stages of the competition provide for the gradual development of the participants’ communication skills.
The tasks of the regional stage of the competition, in contrast to the district stage, were aimed at assessing the communicative competence of the participants. Along with lexical and grammatical knowledge, receptive and productive speech skills were tested.
The winning teams were sent to the final stage.
