The Bukhara regional stage of the contest “The best female active member of the Uzbekistan People’s Democratic Party” has taken place.

In the event held on the slogan “Our initiatives and ideas for the development of independent Uzbekistan” officials of the Central Council of the Uzbekistan People’s Democratic Party, members of the party groups in the regional, district and town councils of people’s deputies and journalists participated.

In this country, special attention is paid to women’s active participation in the further extension of democratic reforms and civil society formation, the strengthening of their firm civic position and the provision of help for them to realize their potential with the use of constitutional rights and liberties.

“In our region, there are 720 primary organizations of the party, and the number of party members in them is 30 thousand 848. The number of women is about 14 thousand. Among them are many active members who are an example to others in such spheres as entrepreneurship, education and health care. This contest helps women in the party ranks to effectively use their potential, and also helps to identify members who are active and who have initiative and high political knowledge,” says Shohistan Nabiyeva, deputy chairperson of the Bukhara Regional council of the party.

Participants gave presentations devoted to the essence and significance of consistent reforms being implemented in the country, issues of social security and raising the quality of services being provided. They competed in such areas of the contest as “Laws are the basis of our lives” and “Political awareness”.

A history teacher of general education school No 2 in the town of Bukhara, Sohiba Fayzullayeva took first place and obtained the right to take part in the republican stage of the contest.
