The animated film “Sadness” by the young Uzbek animator Jamshid Atambayev won the Best Animated Film nomination at the First International Farabi Film Festival in Kazakhstan.

According to the National Center for Cinematography Development, Jamshid Atambayev is a student of the State Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan and a student of the creative workshop of cinematographer and director Iqbol Meliquziyev.

The cartoon tells the story of a young man striving to fulfill his and his mother’s dreams. The film teaches us to appreciate and protect mothers.
