The Berlin exhibition continues
The exhibition “Archaeological Treasures of Uzbekistan – from Alexander the Great to the Kushan Empire” continues its work in Berlin, the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan reports.
Among the objects presented in the exhibition, visitors can see the head of Devata with a necklace (1st-2nd century AD).
In Hinduism and Buddhism, a Devata personifies a form of divine power that focuses on a specific aspect of reality. These can be deities of the forest, village, cave, mountain, and hill. In Buddhism, Devatas are usually called minor deities who were included in the environment of the Buddha.
