Members of the working group from among representatives of 13 countries put forward an initiative to establish an Association for the Development of Ice Hockey in Islamic Countries.

The Association will be headed by businessman Nail Maganov from Tatarstan.

According to Insidethegames, the Association includes hockey federations of 13 countries – UAE, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Algeria, Oman, Bahrain, Iran, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Türkiye, and Tatarstan.

The headquarters will be located in Kazan.
