The conference “Where in the World is Tashkent?” began as part of the project of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan for the research and preservation of the heritage of Tashkent Modernism XX/XXI.

The session entitled “Museums and the Preservation of Architecture”, was attended by the Chairperson of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan Gayane Umerova, as well as the directors of the Anthropology and History Museum of Mexico (Eduardo A. Escalante Carrillo), the Swiss Architecture Museum (Andreas Ruby), the Pinacoteca di Brera and Biblioteca Braidense in Milan (James Bradburne). The session is moderated by Beatrice Grenier, Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Cartier Foundation.
