A delegation of entrepreneurs and responsible persons led by the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Amanbay Orynbaev has departed for the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanbay Orynbaev, met with the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, in Ufa.

Expressing gratitude to the event organizers, the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes noted that, with the support of the Presidents of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation, a basis is being created for further strengthening the partnership between the regions of the two countries.

In May this year, a delegation led by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Farhod Ermanov, visited Ufa. During the visit of the President of Russia to Uzbekistan, a dialogue took place between the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes and the Head of Bashkortostan on relations between the regions of the two countries. The current visit of the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes will serve as a basis for establishing further mutually beneficial relations between the two countries.

In turn, the Head of Bashkortostan stressed the need to strengthen socio-economic and cultural-humanitarian ties between the two regions and the adoption of a roadmap of implemented measures within a week. In this regard, he invited the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes to celebrate the 450th anniversary of the city of Ufa on August 31 this year.

In response, the Head of Bashkortostan and entrepreneurs of this region were invited to a meeting of the President with businesspeople and an international forum to be held in Karakalpakstan on August 20 this year.

Several vital issues related to strengthening bilateral partnerships were discussed at the meeting. According to the agreement signed between Karakalpakstan and Bashkortostan, cooperation will continue within the framework of the plans defined in the roadmap, which are scheduled to be implemented by 2026.

At the meeting, an agreement was reached on continuing cooperation in oil and gas chemistry, agriculture, tourism, and others, as well as opening a branch of the Ufa Fuel and Energy College in Karakalpakstan. In addition, issues of accelerating the creation of a technopark in Nukus and forming a joint working group of representatives of competent ministries, agencies, and organizations, which will constantly formulate issues of bilateral cooperation, were discussed.
