The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Italy hosted a briefing dedicated to the Address of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Oliy Majlis and the people of Uzbekistan.

Representatives of the administration of CONFIMEA – Italian Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises and several member companies of the organization were informed about the main provisions of the President’s Address.

It was noted that the Head of state proposed to call 2023 the Year of Human Care and Quality Education. At the same time, an explanation was given of the essence and content of this initiative.

Detailed information was also provided on six priority areas of state policy in 2023.

The diplomats informed about the measures taken in Uzbekistan to create favorable conditions for the activities of foreign companies. The main attention was paid to the functioning of free economic zones, tax and customs benefits provided to foreign investors. A detailed review of the development potential of several sectors was also carried out, such as energy, agriculture, construction, metallurgy and textile industries, medicine and tourism.
