On May 14-15, Tashkent hosted the 8th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan.
The event is aimed at discussing optimal and effective ways for further deepening cooperation.
It was noted that even though the scale of trade-economic cooperation has not decreased even during the pandemic, the success achieved in this direction is far from the level of the economic potential of the two countries.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a protocol on the results of the 8th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
The delegation led by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda, accompanied by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, visited industrial enterprises in Tashkent, including Yashnabad Technopark Complex, Orient Ceramic LLC specializing in the production of ceramic tiles for the construction industry, Dentafill Plus enterprise producing medicines and medical devices in Sergeli district, as well as Pollada Investment or Imzo Factory, which is one of the most unique projects implemented in Uzbekistan, and became familiar with the manufacturing process and products of these enterprises.
Tajikistan delegation also visited the Accounting Automation Center in Tashkent.
Tajikistan’s PM highly appreciated the activities of industrial enterprises. He noted the high demand for high-quality products produced in Uzbekistan.
