The 37th Meeting of the SCO RATS Council kicks off in Tashkent

A regular meeting of the Council of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO RATS) kicked off in Tashkent on March 25.

The event began with the ceremony of the official inauguration of the Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS representative of Uzbekistan Ruslan Mirzayev.

The meeting is chaired by the Indian side. The delegations of the competent authorities of India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS are taking part in it.

At the meeting, the parties plan to consider the state of regional security, discuss the current situation in countering terrorism, separatism and extremism in the SCO space, exchange views on the level of interaction between the competent authorities of the SCO member states, identify joint measures to respond to modern challenges and threats to security from international terrorist organizations.
