Meetings of the working groups on combating money laundering and financing of terrorism with the participation of member states, representatives of countries and observer organizations, the secretariat of the Financial Action Task Force on Money Laundering (FATF), the Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism (MONEYVAL) kicked off in Tashkent on May 30.

On May 30-31, the participants will discuss the results of the assessment of the national system of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2020-2022 on combating the legalization of criminal proceeds, and the financing of terrorism, as well as legal issues, technical assistance, typologies and countering the financing of terrorism and crime.

The event is held in-person for the first time since 2019. The participants noted the high level of its organization.
