The 17th Asian Schools Chess Championships 2023

On July 14-21, Uzbekistan will host the 17th Asian Schools Chess Championships 2023.

Boys and girls aged 7-17 years old from Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan are competing for victory in the championships.

The rapid champions will be determined among almost 400 young chess players. During nine rounds, the participants will also demonstrate their skills in the classical direction. The strongest players in the blitz tournament will be selected on July 20 – International Chess Day.

The opening ceremony of the championships took place today. It was attended by officials of the Uzbekistan Chess Federation and Asian Chess Federation, parents, and media representatives.
