It was said at the event held by the region’s hokimiyat (governorate) in cooperation with the regional council of the Kamolot youth public movement and a number of organizations that thanks to consistent reforms being implemented under the leadership of the country’s President great changes were taking place in the nation’s life and way of thinking and that these changes and work on restoring Uzbek national values and traditions and on raising the population’s living standards served to safeguard peace, calm and the serenity of mind and to strengthen their firm belief in the future.

With every passing day, the greatest and dearest holiday – the 25th anniversary of the state’ independence is drawing nearer to us. Today special attention is being paid to celebrating this holiday with lifted spirits.

The presidential decree dated 2 June 2016 “On preparations for and celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan” is of important significance here.

“As part of the implementation of this document, literary evenings and round-table conversations are being held in localities with the participation of culture and art personalities, writers and poets, and new enterprises, educational, cultural, medical and sport facilities are being commissioned,” says the chairman of the Farghona Regional council of the Kamolot youth public movement, Sherzod Polvonov.

The event turned into a big celebration. Melodies and songs about the homeland and peace put everyone in a festive mood. Such events devoted to the 25th anniversary of the country’s independence are continuing in all the towns and districts of the region.
