Territorial Fruits and Vegetables Trade Fair held in Nukus
In the current year, in the Republic of Karakalpakstan on an area of 11 111 hectares have been cultivated vegetables, on 9508 hectares – melons, and on 5325 hectares - potatoes.
In the current year, in the Republic of Karakalpakstan on an area of 11 111 hectares have been cultivated vegetables, on 9508 hectares – melons, and on 5325 hectares - potatoes.Special attention is paid to the supply of grown crops to the internal market and processing enterprises, increasing exports, harvesting provision of agricultural products for autumn and winter seasons. This year, in the Republic of Karakalpakstan are implemented 5 projects for the processing of fruits and vegetables with a total value of 1.8 billion soums. In the current year it is planned to purchase by the state order from the economic entities of all forms of ownership 84.9 thousand tons of fruit, vegetables, potatoes, grapes and melons.
This was particularly marked in the ongoing in Nukus Territorial Fruits and Vegetables Trade Fair, as well as was provided detailed information on measures taken for harvesting and processing of agricultural products, an increase in exports.
“Uzok-Ruslan” farm in Nukus district on area of 15 of the 90 hectares grows cotton, on 33 hectares - wheat, on 14 hectares - melons and vegetables.
It is expected that during the fair will be signed a lot of contracts between processing, reserving and exporting enterprises.
