Bursa, Türkiye, hosted the 36th International Golden Karagöz Folk Dance Competition from July 7 to 12 this year.

The 36th International Golden Karagöz Folk Dance Competition, held in Bursa, Türkiye, was a truly global event. The song and dance ensemble “Navbahor” of the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan and the “Bek” ensemble were among the representatives from over 20 countries who participated in this cultural celebration.

The Uzbekistan delegation won first place at the festival, Turkmenistan’s delegation took second place, and Bulgaria’s delegation took third place.

The Golden Karagöz Festival was held for the 62nd time, and for 36 years, it has been held as a competition. Uzbekistan took first place for the first time in the festival’s 62-year history.
